Hi there,

As the saying goes "The difference between men and boys is the price of their toys". With Fathers Day on the horizon, this month my thoughts turn to boys and their toys...

Storage Solution

Main Content Inline Small

In my experience one of the apparent perquisites for a good boy toy is that it is awkward to store! Some solutions.

Small Boy Toys

The propagating properties of athletic equipment are only rivalled by rabbits.

The Big Mesh Basket by Garage Works holds up to 20 full-sized sport balls and you can see and reach them all. Can be installed with or without the store wall.

Teen Boy Toys

A simple skateboard storage solution; using two double golf racks side by side. It’s even decorative (in a boyish kind of way). Racks available from Howards Storage World .

Credit for both the lateral thinking and the photo goes to Jacquie.

Big Boy Toys

For your avid fisherman, a fishing rack using spring loaded clips and two pieces of timber could be ideal. Total cost of materials will vary, but the one we made cost under $15.

Check out our Great Ideas page on our website to take a look (bottom of page).

Buying Better

Some ideas for father’s day gifts that will be appreciated and don’t involve the acquisition of more playthings!

Car wash vouchers
Tickets to a sporting event or game
A session with a personal trainer
A “weeding” voucher (from the kids)

A Final Word

My grandmother had a saying “Beware of the man who is too grown up”. (I am definitely not in any danger.)

If your man's toys drive you crazy, remember, often it’s the little boy in a man who is endearing, spontaneous and curious...and these are qualities that keep life shiny!

So until next time, may you all be organised in your own fashion.

Sue
